About Psyllium Husk Powder

Overview

Psyllium Husk Powder is made by milling the husk of Plantago ovata seeds into a fine, off-white powder. It is one of the richest natural sources of soluble fiber and is widely used by pharmaceutical, nutraceutical and food manufacturers for its strong water-binding and gel-forming properties.

Grades & Mesh Sizes

Our standard grade is 99% purity at 80–100 mesh. Other purity grades and mesh sizes can be supplied to your specification, and both are confirmed on the Certificate of Analysis for every lot.

Applications

Fiber supplements and drink mixes, capsule and tablet filling, bulk-forming laxatives, gluten-free bakery, breakfast cereals and bars, and as a natural thickener and binder in food processing.

Key Properties

High soluble-fiber content, strong swell volume, a smooth and uniform texture, neutral taste and a light colour that blends easily into finished products.

Quality & Documentation

Every lot is tested for purity, swell volume, moisture, ash and microbial limits before dispatch. A Certificate of Analysis is supplied with each shipment, together with the standard export documents.

Packaging & Storage

Supplied in 25 kg moisture-resistant export bags, with retail and private label packs available on request. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Shelf life is 24 months from the date of manufacture.
